IPMT Notches Two Prominent Life Sciences Partners

We are excited to have two prominent partners, Simon Roberts and Jason Leonardjoin our IPMT practice group in New York.

The distinguished duo spent the bulk of their careers at the intellectual property boutique firm, Fitzpatrick Cella Harper & Scinto, which merged with Venable LLP last year. Their strong chemistry backgrounds, coupled with their deep litigation experience, will make an immediate impact on our Americas IPMT practice and global life sciences team. Roberts has extensive knowledge and experience in the realm of the Hatch-Waxman litigations, and is highly regarded for his work in the chemical and ethical pharmaceutical industry. Leonard focuses on complex pharmaceutical litigation around new drug compounds, enantiomers, polymorphs, drug formulations, and methods of use as well as oncology drugs, anti-fungal agents, and oral contraceptives. Before practicing law, Leonard spend six years as a chemist at Pfizer.

Roberts qualified as a Barrister at Law from the Inns of Court School of Law in London in 1991, earned a B.A. with honors from Exeter University in 1990, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry with honors from Exeter University in 1989. Leonard earned his J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center (now the University of New Hampshire) in 2007 and his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut in 1998.
